March 20, 2026 · 3 min read

BankingLab has successfully integrated the Mastercard Move payment infrastructure platform, becoming the first core banking provider in the Baltic Region to launch it in production.

BankingLab and Mastercard Move integration

We are delighted to announce that BankingLab has successfully integrated the Mastercard Move payment infrastructure platform into its banking software suite. This milestone is especially significant as we have become the first core banking provider in the Baltic Region to launch Mastercard Move in a client’s production environment.

Benefits of Mastercard Move

Mastercard Move represents a major advancement in the payments landscape, introducing a global money movement platform where cross-border payments can be processed through a unified infrastructure, reducing reliance on traditional correspondent banking chains.

This brings substantial benefits to both institutional participants in the cross-border payments ecosystem and end customers, including:

  • Faster processing times: Same-day or near real-time cross-border transfers across 200+ countries and territories and in 150+ currencies.
  • Cost efficiency and fee transparency: More competitive international payments through streamlined processing, with improved transparency of transaction fees and FX rates within Mastercard’s network.
  • End-to-end payment infrastructure: Both payment messaging and fund movement are managed within a unified framework, reducing friction and improving operational efficiency.
  • API connectivity: Fast integration and streamlined operations without reliance on legacy file-exchange setups.
  • Enhanced payment status visibility: Real-time tracking and improved transparency of transaction status throughout the payment lifecycle.

Modular Offering Through BankingLab’s Payment Orchestrator

BankingLab delivers Mastercard Move through its proprietary Payment Orchestrator, which can be seamlessly integrated into any financial institution’s technology stack, regardless of the core banking system in use.

This reflects our commitment to developing modular, plug-and-play payment infrastructure solutions that are easily deployable in multi-vendor set-ups.

The launch of Mastercard Move follows the successful completion of BankingLab Payment Orchestrator’s integration with Latvijas Banka’s EKS system for SEPA payments. BankingLab will also fully roll out Visa’s Business-to-Business cross-border payments solution by the end of Q1 2026, enabling our partner financial institutions to access multiple cross-border and local payment rails through a single integration.
